Before, when Castiel closed his eyes he could see a brilliant, almost painfully bright, collection of lights that made up the soul of one Dean Winchester.
Now that he’s human, he closes them and only sees darkness intermingled with the occasional spots of color; just tricks of the eye. Random noise with no apparent shape or order.
It’s good then, he thinks, that he committed to memory all the lights, the colors, the flickers, and even the cracks- some left open and some stitched back together amongst fire and with threads of his own grace. So when he’s laying with his head on Dean’s pillow, legs intertwined somewhere underneath the covers and noses brushing, he swears he can see it all anyways.
Because all those times he was staring at Dean, he wasn’t merely counting his freckles, he was memorizing his soul.
i’m pretending nothing else happened after this ep kkkkk

'A Californian congressmen has just introduced a law to make it illegal to keep orcas in captivity. This could change everything — but SeaWorld is already mounting a vicious campaign to defeat this congressman's brave move.
